Apple was born in a family of artists. Surrounded by famous art and artists from the very beginning, she grew up to be an artist herself. To advance her career, she came to Australia to study art in TAFE NSW and UNSW.
Apple has developed her own unique technique, experience and understanding in art creation. Apple uses an unusually large breadth of colours in her palette to build a richness that is unique in Australian art today. This has been part of the formula that has quickly established her as a regular finalist in major art prizes shortly after entering the art world in Australia.
As a tutor her students benefit from her experience and deep skills in the use of colour. They consistently show exceptional progress over a short period of time.
Apple is also a very experienced and inspirational art teacher who has developed tailored hands-on guidance for individual student. She has forstered a group of young distinguished and creative artists. Many of her students have done very well in the HSC exam. Many of their outstanding artworks have been selected for the ArtExpress Exhibition NSW.
One of her students, Scarlett Li, is the Young Archie Prize Finalist 2019.
As dual Archibald Prize Finalist, Apple is specialized in portrait painting. She has been taking personal portraits of social celebrities and other well-known members of the society for many years. She has won high recognition from her clients and established herself as a well-known portrait artist in the art circle.
Apple also runs art exibitions, workshops and presentations from time to time to explore a variety of media and techniques, and share her creative ideas, concepts and inspirations with both amateur and professional artists.
